Well, its been quite awhile since I blogged. Sadly, (very very sadly) the plans I had for my blog hasall failed. The idea to update the “How to stop Waiting for her SMS” post isever a remaining idea. Also, the idea to make a post to tell the coming form 4swhat to expect in WMS, and also the correct descisions to make in which mymates and I have made mistakes (such as trying to do so many extra-coco thingsand in the end get some lousy score, or even joining an unrecognized club.Well, the business (was trying to say busy-ness, ended up as business lol) ofmoving again, took up my holidays.

Look now, college lifehas restarted. Things are all new, all different. INTI is nice. Theadministrative system is WAY better than WMSKL. Although there are still somekinks to work out. (No one likes waiting again and again for the same reasonmind you). Nonetheless, it’s real nice. The American system is a real refresh.Comparing to the Malaysian-British system. Still getting used to it. (OMG,finals is in April, the end of 1^st semester). It has made me realize how much lacking theMalaysian education system is. Take this example given by the awesome Calculus(CAL132) lecturer I have. You guys all know that odd numbers are 1,3,5,…. Andso on right? What about even? 2,4,6,8,…. Right? Pretty simple. Something soelementary (noob) that we’ve learnt since what, 4 years old? Now, what about 0?Yes, zero? Odd or even?

See that, suddenly thewhole class (except the foreign students btw) are all stumped? Zero? Neutral?Is it a number? Does it count? See? Something like this, Malaysian System hasstripped it off. Next is itpositive/negative? Neutral?

(Zero is an evennumber btw, and also it is neutral. Go look for the explanation, like how USsystem does, it is no longer spoon feeding like what we’ve been taught.)

So there. Another example is also that we can’t compareto other countries. My classes have some foreign students. All cool! So niceright? (Betcha my friends that ended up in MCKL don’t get this experience :P*trolling*) So I’ve sat next to myVietnamese friend, and again I took awhile to understand some calculus. Askinghim he seemed to understand ti like the back of his hand. Thinking he was thegenius kind, later only did I find out he learnt it when he was like 14 yearsold. (Dividing terms of unknowns, and also checking, lots of polynomials btw)

So back to where Iwas, lots of ideas for the post-SPM holidays have failed. Passing by the exitto KLIA now. J Staying backat my grandma’s place did make me realize the serene kampong life, and made methink how long will I still get to experience that, how long will I get to playfireworks, how long will I continue to get angpau, how long will I get to enjoythe traditionally cooked food, topped with duck sauce (yeah, my grandma makesthe best duck stew) (*oowooowooohooh hoohooohwooohooh) :P (yeah just so happensI’m listening to it right now). To help mum wash the place up while my most ofmy other uncles and in-laws sit around like princesses) and listening to thechicken and duck make cute noises.

How long will all of this last?

As For relationships.Bah humbug. It’s all a mess of thoughtsin my head right now. Few moments ago I had the thought to thread em all down,but well, now its all stagnant. Maybe I’ll get to it when I feel inspired orunhappy again. J [translation:a very high chance I’m not going to get around it. :P ] Can't really pen em, so leave em in my head. :D

How To Backup Recovery Discs to ISOs without DVDs on Windows 7 using a Virtual Burner

Hey all!

Well alot has been going on, and I don't feel very bloggy about my inner thoughts right now...

So instead I'll do a tutorial on something everyone encounters when buying their new laptop!

Like me!

I've bought an Acer Timeline X 4830TG with awesome specs, in fact this is the first blog post of many that I'm doing on the laptop!

Skipping long Intros that will bore what you are really here for:

How To Backup Recovery Discs to ISOs without DVDs on Windows 7.

What you will need:

New Laptop (duh) (PS: any brand works)
At least 14 GB free space
Phantom Drive Virtual Burner (link) (note: make sure to grab 64-bit version if you have 64-bit system)
Preinstalled recovery program that bugs you to waste 4 DVDs
Time

Short Explanation:

So I was really happy finally having time to get in touch with my computer, and after turning on I got this small little notification asking me to make a Recovery Disc. Since mine is an Acer, I was asked by the Acer eRecovery to create one for backup! The program asked me to provide like 4 DVDs for a system image and 1 more for drivers and apps! OMG! Wasting my DVDs. Gone where the good old days when you were given a Windows 7 DVD and left to reinstall as vanilla (meaning original, clean)

After a little hunting and empirical thinking, there must be a way around it.

(this wouldn't be an online blogpost without a troll meme pic :P hehhe )

So here we go~~

STEPS:

* Pardon the watermark, it is a necessary evil.

1. Download and install Phantom Drive. (as link above) Bear in mind this is an awesome trialware, and you have full functionality of 30 days, more than enough, buy it to support it! This is the only virtual burner I found that works as advertised, without suffering limited functionality during a trial. A driver will be installed (hence the need for a 64-bit if you run 64-bit, which you probably do... hit START+BREAK to check)

2. Double click the Phantom Starter icon, you will be presented with something like below. Click on Phantom Creator.

3. Then you'll be greeted with the below window, under "Create a" choose DVD+R or even DVD-R, it really doesn't matter, you will burn this image to a physical (real) DVD during emergency. See 4.7 GB?

4. Then tick "Create and ISO image"

5. Take note where you want to save the file as below. (make sure there is ample/enough space) The program creates a .phi file during burning. Also tick insert the new phantom image after creation just for simplicity.

6. Click on the Create button (sorry in the screenshot the watermark covered it). Something like this will flash past (real fast, had to redo a few times to get a shot)

7. This is how it would look like if you navigated to the saved location, don't worry about the 0KB files, leave them alone :)

8. Now go ahead and start your recovery program. Acer Asus Dell HP anything!
When you are at the choose drive, click on a dropdown menu and Choose the Phantom Drive Burner. Whoops, no screenie for that.

9. Click Start or Burn or equivalent.. Here's the screenshot for my third recovery Disc. Notice that it is much faster as the writing speed to a Harddisk is better than optical DVD burner. No errors too!

10. Leave it to verify.... Patience, young Padawan.

11. Within 4 minutes, tada!

12. Before you click ok... REPEAT steps 2 and 6 (namely going to phantom creator and clicking create since the other options remain)

13. Just to be sure, make sure you do steps 2 and 6 again AND THEN ONLY clicking ok.

14. Repeat until you are done with burning what you need, in my case until Recovery4.

15. see below, Success! :D
(press ok and make the program happy by allowing it to finish)

16. Now, navigate to where you initially told Phantom Drive to save the images. Do not worry about it showing as Phantom Drive image, they are ISOs (don't trust me? right click, properties) ... see, told you so!

(example below, default place was at : C:\Users\Public\Phantom Drive Images )

17. Copy the files (the ones that are like big ass sized, total around 12 GB) to a secure area like your external harddisk or some other computer. Steps are the same for the Drivers.

Points to note: make sure you copy the ISO files to another hard drive or even anywhere so long as its not your hard drive, because the sole purpose of restoring your drive image through DVDs is in the event your laptop's Hard drive conked on you. No use storing pieces of cloth for emergency in the middle of a place prone to fire right? (metaphor explanation fail haha)

18. Burn the DVDs when you really need them, don't worry they are bootable. :D

(simple right? or else just use Acronis True Image to image the whole hard drive and skip the dvds all together. :P )

C&C 3: The Forgotten Unable to Start Fix / Solution / How to

This is going to be a tutorial. :D

Just learnt this after trying to get the mod to work. :D

It's a mod that requires C&C 3 Tiberium Wars.

Specifically, version 1.09
But this is a problem you may encounter if you have Kane's Wrath installed or got it from some other release, pirated or not (e.g Skullptura rip of Kane's Wrath)

This causes the mod's installer to link to the wrong directory (folder)

Hence, issues such as "not a valid Win32 application" or it simply doesn't work, or wrong version, please update. etc etc.

Here's the fix:

1. So during install, you might be notified thatyou do not have v1.09 of Tiberium Wars, even if you do, as it did in my case. Hit Ignore and continue.
2. It's going to install without asking you where to put itself, gets real comfy in your system right there.
3. After that, you will be asked to put a shortcut on the desktop or not.
4. Do that. Finish.
5. Now, try running it by double clicking the shortcut, it's gonna fail.
6. Fear not, RIGHT click on the shortcut, choose Properties

7. This is going to show up!

8. (see above) Look under the Target area, it's pointing at the wrong directory right?

as written here:

"F:\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\#readme#\CNC3.exe" -modconfig "C:\Users\Home\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Mods\Mutant\config.txt"

9. So whatcha need to do is simply change that part in the beginning to where the actual Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars file is. (in quotes, you know the 2 levitated open coma close coma thingajiggy, this is important!!!!)

In such as a way:

"(where you installed the Tiberium Wars)\CNC3.exe" -modconfig "C:\Users\Home\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Mods\Mutant\config.txt"

Usually:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Command & Conquer 3\CNC3.exe" -modconfig "C:\Users\Home\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Mods\Mutant\config.txt"

But in my case, I installed it to a separate harddrive:

"F:\Command & Conquer 3\CNC3.exe" -modconfig "C:\Users\Home\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Mods\Mutant\config.txt"

remember the quotes and also leave everything from -modconfig alone.

10. You should see it something like this now, see it's different, so we're pointing it to the correct files.

11. Click OK.

12. There is no 12, you're done, just double click, and you are good to go!
(Tiberium Wars splash screen should load, and you'll be greeted by a new looking menu)

PS: Bro prefers the original. :P still awesome though.

:D Quickie, Prom, Trip, Life

Well, this is going to be a quick one.

Having fun here. Life is good for now.

Prepared for Prom, which wasn't as I imagined, but awesome nonetheless, IMHO, the price was worth it. Though, the waiters were a bit unprofessional for taking away my food TWICE although I barely touched it. Grand Millenium KL, you need to fix that. (NOTE to self: do a post on Prom)

Still, It was great, a fitting ending to this chapter of my school life.

Then the next day I went to apply at INTI Nilai. After so long, I finally registered, the staff were really helpful and polite, however, parents suddenly had a change of heart since Nilai was too far and Malaysia's bus and public transport is ~~pretty much useless,~~ I mean, umm, isn't really that well, reliable.

So after much thought, I'm moving to INTI Subang, and well, the staff there are really helpful too. And instead of going to stay in the hostel, I'm going to stay at home. (It's kinda non-logical if you say, have a house in KL, and still go rent a hostel or room in KL) :D

(I have a feeling I'm gonna love INTI) (hopefully defo more than WMSKL)

After that, trip to Genting with my awesome K-Gang Friends. :D V,Max,Calvin,David Ooi, Meng, well, we really did rock. Sides, we can cook. :D I think it was an epic success, pics up on FB soon, and we didn't have to use the Maggie HotCup I brought up! :D

Nonetheless, we did cook Cordon Bleu, Mash Potatoes (with Fresh Potatoes btw) and then Mushroom Soup, also Salad took like 2.5 hours due to the very small appliance and also the fact we only had one pot and one pan hahaha, the next day we cooked Udon Instant Korean Noodles, and last day we did cook American Breakfast :D scrambled eggs with onion, bacon, french toast, red beans, sausages, nuggets. :D Yeah. 6 men eat alot. :D I wanna do it sometime again! :D

We did use like 3/4 of the oil we brought, and from 30 eggs, NutriPlus Omega 3 btw :P, we had 11 left, so yeah, its overly nutritious? We did alot of sports though, great fun. Thanks guys!

After that I had McDs today, and just now Fried Chicken, Mash Potatoes again. Tomorrow I'm having Steamboat with abit of Grilling at home just before I move.

So yeah, unhealthy? or Overly healthy? :D

So much to do, so little time. This is just a quickie, for which later hopefully I can do a better write up of this part of my life. The trip, prom, was a very nice way to [as said by Calvin] have a perfect ending to a not-so-perfect 5 years of secondary school life.

Lastly, I guess, I we, can't always get what we want, or how we want it, because ~~something or someone is always in the way and screws things up~~ (putting it nicely) life ain't that easy, but I guess, although we are told to never settle for less, but we must as humans, adapt, and be thankful at times with what we have and what we did get. (fellow friends, see the ironic oxymoron there? one part, we must never settle for less and strive for more and better, but on the other we have perceptions telling us to be thankful with what we have and appreciate, a paradox I must say). But hey, your life is only tainted and screwed or effed up by one small little discrete or pissing off detail that bugs you, ONLY, if you let it get to you. So look at life, and bend to it, adapt, or scream shout and cry, but well, there is only so much you can do, and well, life goes on, so take it in your stride, but at the same time do your best, and don't just surrender in defeat :P

Sony Ericsson Spiro (Update/Fix/Review)

HELLO!

Yay, SPM is finally over!

Pardon the slowness of updating my blog, it isn't prioirty.

Around this of the year, back to december. lol, once again, I have high plans for this blog, but you know me....

So, to start of, lets do a tutorial on something...

How to Update Sony Ericsson Spiro (W100i)

Yes, I got this phone.

White one!

Really cheap, as descrive previously in my postiee.

So, it started to act up within a week , as shown by the main blogs, in fact still does.
(eg, OUT OF MEMORY, random restarts,hangs)

So after I bought it, I realised you don't get a microUSB cable with the phone, buy it outside for RM12, its realatively cheap, sides, the hp can't do sync with the computer, no backup of messages and contacts, and copies songs videos thru the cable at a VERY SLOW SPEED. so... better off taking your MicroSD card out and slotting it. Any third party USB cable would work (principle, if the hole fits, it works)

Next, go get this software:

yeah, around 39MB download...

Double click to install, next next, accept agreement without reading (lol, you should tho I do not, who does anyway, we are all bounded by laws) done, then,

Run the software, choose your phone.

Follow on-screen instructions.

NOTE: IT IS A VERY GOOD IDEA TO BACKUP YOUR PHONE, everythign on the phone will be wiped out. Exceptions to the memory card though. (speaking of which, kudos to Sony Ericsson for switching to MicroSD cards on this phone, instead of dumb proprietary M2 cards)

There will come to a point that tells you to plug your phone in using the MicroUSB cable and pressing the C key (delete key) on the Spiro... do just that.

I got into an obstacle here, the phone did not want to make love (opps, i mean connection) with the computer, so no fear, when you fail, try try and try again, just redo as it says. Be patient tho, if after 30 secounds still nada, retry....

Finally you should get something like this:

Yeah, it will download your phones latest firmware.

Then it will simply update your phone.

And you are DONE!

Nonetheless, this update still GIVES you problems, like OUT OF MEMORY error. Still, the Update does iron out a few problems...

Yishes, its just this phone...

Its not as if my microSD card is full or even phone memory...

Someways I've found to remedy this problem, temporary fix...

(MENU>SETTINGS>push right twice>under Display)

1. Set the wallpaper to none

2. Set the theme to Flow.thm (Samba seems problematic, and other themes do not really work with the Spiro)

3. Screensaver Set it to none.

4. Also, deleting older SMSes seem to help, yes, sentimental they might be, but what are we to do..

You cannot really play Java Games on this phone. and when the phone is too stressed or you ask too much of it (which isn't much) it will breakdown by restarting itself lol.

Hope this helps the pained users like me.

PS: those who are thinking of this phone, do not buy it, get Sony ericsson cedar instead. or stay away form sony ericsson! (ya hear that, maybe you wanna fix my phone now?)

Trials Over, but SPM is nearing.

There's so much to do in so little time.

I once (Again) had so many ideas that I wanted to blog, tuts and thoughts and all (incl trying to generate revenue from this blog), but well, procrastination is the thief of time, and my priorities over other things have left me neglect this (again).

Upon preparations for Trials, albeit last minute, I have succeeded in staying off Facebook for 18 days!

Now this counts because I had access to FB at my fingertips (its one of my homepages everytime I turn on the computer, of which I do even during exams, I have managed to close the tab, without much effort. Without conscious control to stay away, I have did so for 18 days.

Now, that is abstinence. Somewhat. Since I keep hearing that we are all addicted to FB and our social life would die if the site died. Well, i'm still standing here, (sitting, typing on the computer is hard when standing) unscarred (at least not by my absence from FB).

So I challenge you all, stay away form FB for a couple of days, and brag about it. Abstinence! (The fact or practice of restraining oneself from indulging in something.)

Still, only my brief absence, and FB has unveiled Timeline. Cool.

Moving on, seeing this is going to be a combo of thought, I don't have time to do 'em one by one, and all are to be short. :(

I was planning on getting a new phone (and number!) One day eating DimSum, some woman from China came with an iPhone 5. LOL. First we brushed her off, but after eating she came again,and I took a look and feel at it. Kinda Cool, in fact that was my prime research online during trials. :P (even resorting to bidding on Lelong), It looks good you know.

Its more known as the HiPhone 5. I actually wanted to do a complete review if I got one, and the specs are pretty good (with Wifi!). Sides, the woman offered it to me in a imitated box, with a case (cool) and only at RM280 (not even discounted yet) and with 2 batteries!

But after all the research and checking. (And all my friends telling me nononononono.....) I decided against it. ShenZhen Phones don't really last.

So I got the next budget thing. I always had a thing for slide phones, thus now I have the Sony Ericsson Spiro (W100i).

Once I got it I went and reloaded the software on the phone (you need to buy a separate microUSB cable, SE doens't include it), to prevent the problems that are reported online, latest software now. (maybe one day I'll do a tutorial on it, just maybe)

It lags, occasionally, conversation view is good, calls are fine, what you expect from a Sony Ericsson, downside is that the animation is minimal (not a very nice Walkman version) and then it can't do GIF animations and Animated Wallpapers. The animated photos lag, no matter what, and alot of JAVA games can't be played (though it has a sweet resolution of 240x320). Sometimes the game dies at loading. Or worse, the phone restarts! It lags. (convo view especially). Overall its not very customizable, as lots of themes are incompatible....

Still, phone at cheapest and best price (RM 199 ori) + MicroSD card 4GB (RM 30) + MicroUSB Cable (RM 14) + Screen Protector and Silicon Case (RM 14) = RM 257, all at best price, what's to complain. Slide somemore!

By the way I just noticed if you google "stop waiting for her sms' my blog is the 1st link! (or if "how to stop waiting for her sms" its second)I need to spruce that post up someday to help people.

Whoops, the weeks just slip by.
It's been so long since I've updated.
I do realise, that I have so much I want to say, but I prefer to keep it to few people only.
But aside that, I also have so much I want to blog about.
Sadly, I've either lost inspiration, forgot, or remember but do not have time to do so.
So those will have to wait.

To kill the trees that made the paper that we will use to create our weapons of bad grade destruction, and send the exam admins raising our A+ in defeat.
For we have come this far,(2 years), crossed many sleepless nights, and no sleep nights (read:conking out at 3am, and living the rest of the next day like a dead squid :P) , worried our behinds of so many projects.

I know lots of us do not feel that Semangat Assabiah yet, but I know it's gonna get worse, and we can get thru this, for every mushroom cloud, has a silver lining (link), and you can't have rainbows without a little rain, and we must have dark nights for bright mornings, and yada yada, all that sky metaphors.. :D

So much for my holiday plan to study for trials... my homework has robbed me of my time to study, only have one day left tomorrow, but on the bright side, I'm free from the shackles of Form 5 homework!!! [for now :( ]

So this is also me notifying everyone that I'm officially on Hiatus (eventhought its obvious, but obvious tihngs must also be stated once in awhile, like how someone else means so much to you) :P . Until perhaps, the foreseeable future after SPM. :DD

Firstly, its been a long time since I blogged, but now I have that urge, and I should strike while the iron is hot, or else I'll keep it within me and become a part of me. And well, lose inspiration.

Owh, and after roughly 7.5k downloads I used adf.ly links, earned like 1.60 USD so far? hahaha, meager.

Remember, refer, copy also at least type it out yourself, you ain't going to just copy paste.
And to the few flamers on my Cbox, I did this myself, painstakingly typed it, changed it, corrected it, and redid it again. If you think that I copied brother/mother/dog, think again. Now to the crux of the post.

It's on principles!!!!

Putting it bluntly, I believe in Freedom and Right to Information.
I also believe in sharing them.
Which is why I shared the closed source project.
But that's not the point. Point is, I really think that everyone has the right to know something.
But of course I'd understand if say there was some pandemic in the country and the officials wanted to keep it under wraps as it could potentially cause unneeded chaos.
Or if you did something so so so so bad that you wouldn't want anyone else to know. (tough way to live)
But if the thing is not of such gargantuan proportions. I think you should share.
Let's not pinpoint anything, but since the beginning, this issue, rather, this principle that I have, has made me despise a particular organization and rather, was also the basis of why I turned them down.
"We must not tell others."
"Less they know, the better."

Worst of all:

"If I tell you to do/ don't do something, just do it."
"Why?"
"Don't ask"

To me that is pretty much slavery to the lowest. Dogs? To ask someone to do something, and that someone wants to know why, and telling them, don't ask.
So this means I should blindly follow?
If the person has the curiosity to know, I think he has the right to know, for he is the one doing it. Unless it is to that individuals best interest, then fine, but by all means, answer the god damn question.

Pardon the profanities.

But really. How can a system with secrets that are of public attention, are being kept only to a few, and from the whole we're one big family cover-up (where there is 2, one who commands, the other who follows) ever able to function nicely?

It's like the government keeping scandalous issues, sweeping them under the rug, from us rakyat.
That was why I realised "Bersih 2.0" is not bad, and that I support it (thought it was political unrest at first, only to realise it is for the freedom of people)

I do also have another principle.
Personally, I am the kind that believes in trust amongst the highest of friends.
Say a secret.
If someone very very close to me is affected by that piece of secret or rather, is interested in it, I would after due consideration, only share with that person.
Of course, everyone has secrets. But still, here's an example.
A teacher did something, and that something I know of, the teacher told me to keep it a secret.
Say my friend V (anonymous alias really) who is very close bff of mine, asked me, I would share it.
Knowing that he will not spread it and cause havoc to my life.
In fact, without him asking, I may just share it with him.
Simply because I trust V, or rather, he Amanah.
It just me I think, that believes in such a trust-based sharing of information.
Now, if the next guy came and asked me, obviously I wouldn't say anything. I may even lie in fact.
My belief is that I should treat those that matter, those that care about me, those that give a bother with me, way more than the "secret" promised to keep.
They have a difference than the random guy that suddenly simply wants information out of me.
Of course, you can look at it you way and think that I am not a person of integrity.
Fine.
But to me, sharing is caring, and that having a difference in terms of trust, on a leveled basis, is not wrong. To me, the friendship and trust that I have with my close friend, is way more than some secret that the other said: Don't tell arh.

I guess its just how I sorted things out, given all that I been thru.

I do however understand if you do not see eye-to-eye with me. I do understand that what you given, is rarely what you get.

Haiz. Perhaps,
Such a thing is not practical, and that I'm not a person that favours certain people, and treat certain people differently.

I guess this show that you have integrity if you keep a friends secret, even from a closed one?
I guess that you would be amanah.
I guess that you would be trustworthy, to never let secrets from many others intersect.
Perhaps the secrecy of things are more important than what has been forged between 2 people.

Maybe there's no point.
And that its even more useless after someone pressures the answer out of you, and that one still has the liberty to use the words SOMEONE, or SOMETHING when telling the "full" story.

Maybe I should start practicing the whole I-must-not-tell-you-whoever-you-are-even-if-your-damn-close-because-I-was-bestowed-by-someone-not-to-tell-you-something-besides-will-not-cause-you-to-die principle, combined with the law of equivalence.

Don't get me wrong, Keep secrets. It's your right.

But here, it's my right to say something too.

WMSKL Video 2011

Very very late, but since I only have the laptop and nothing else to do, (or at least nothing else I want to do) here is the Breakdown of the Honour's Day GG Video 2011.

Video Production began from March 15th till 6th May (ONE day before the event, crazy right? i know)
A total of almost 2 months.

As mentioned in the description of the video, this took up alot of my free time, lunch, break time, games period (everyone was playing football, basketball, socializing, well we few sat in the cold dark lab squinting over after effects.) and alot of hard drive space.

OKay here's the video breakdown...

Done with After Effects, Premiere Pro and Illustrator, with Photoshop. CS5.

The beginning is a crysis template (found it online), with the logo self edited from the actual intel logo (illustrator .eps file) and then imported into AE. Which we then made the text WMSKL production team appear from particles. as with the sound. Trapcode Particular and Twitch was required.

The next sequence was another template by Sphinx.Inc , its called Eternal.
After doing the suitable edits, it was chopped up in Premiere Pro and Scenes of the School (2008 filepics mostly) were inserted. Movement was animated by keyframes in Premiere.

Music was from Audiomachine. Danuvius from waht I remember.
It was a pain trimming the audio. They had to seem like it was made for the video.

THen beginning was then a timelapse, sped up video of sunrise in the school, which was taken with a Panasonic SDHC HD camcorder mounted on a tripod. Video was sped up in Premiere. Since Premiere has a maximum speed up percentage, I cheated it by Nesting the sequence and then speeding it up further. :P

THen came the assembly, all sped up.

Audio was Paradise Kiss - Lonely In Gorgeous, the instrumental or Karaoke version.
This of course, was took a very long time for me to find in my music collection.. Not that I never heard that song before, I simply had to go thru so many songs just to find the right one. Inspiration. And this one seemed to fit, for me.

This song, was also cut, if you listen closely, and a few times, you may notice it. (I went as far as to ensuring the beats are the same, and that the waveform shown is somewhat similar) XD

The titles indicating what that footage is at that particular time are all made with premiere.
All the footage was shot when possible, some we had to wait for those places to be ready.
A lot of time was invested into waiting for others. (yes, i hear you, it sucks to wait for others)

Chapel Service is Form 1 chapel. All the form ones are compulsory to attend Chapel Service in our school (except Muslim Students), from the video, I only showed those few, as the rest weren't really worth showing.

Our school really do use the projector. Its not just for show. (Don't believe me come see)
Some footage was sped up by around 10 to 20 percent as they were all too slow, plus the sweep movement during recording was slow since we moved it too slow. Still, it looked normal.

At the canteen, there were occasional students coming into the camera and making faces. =.= all good fun tho.

The games title was self made, with optical flares and then camera movement from one title to the other.

THe next song was Katy Perry's Firework (instrumental). I got to this song and found it fitting after listening to like 70 songs on the computer, with earphones. Yes, sound effects are painful, when you don't have the budget or equipment to make your own sound effects.

I like the song and think it fits since it has that cool build till something epic, and that beat rawks.

The text transforming title was yet another template, since it be too much to make with only a team of around 5, and only 3 active members. Plus, this isnt our job, and we were students. SO yes. We rock James, Teik Mun and Dylan. (Yes, im bragging, but I'm happy)

THe rest were compilations of many many recordings, all cut and inserted.

If you were wondering, the line under the text, can be made in premiere pro, by clicking the line tool in the type toolbox, (when u click new title that window pops up, find the line tool on the left, draw a line. or circle or square. and apply appropriate effects. (thanks to MacWai. my awesome senior!)

From there, the pictures were done with Premiere Pro, by keyframes in the positions, rotation and all, titles were done there too. I love Premiere Pro. Besides, to AE it all would take too long. We simply did not have that much time.

The text for the title : Student Exchange Programme and the titles for the respective schools were all self made by Dylan Tan. Awesome vfx skills there. Reverse shatterize, glow and all.

After all of the picture slideshows, the Katy Perry music ended. Luckily, thanks to Teik Mun and his bro, he introduced to me Maxim Mrvica's (thx JC for the correction) Cubana. Nice piano piece, which seemed to fit, so that went in. The piece was upbeat and lively, as every epic video presentation should be (hence GG). (ps, performances were all students, yes, pretty girls ,and handsome guys)

Concert video had deteriorated quality since some had to be extracted from the DVD. Which, has inferior quality by today's HD standards. No, we don't do blu-ray, at least not yet. :P

Achievements of the year title was self made. With stocks found online. and optical flares.

The slideshow for achievements of the year was all donw in after effects. By Dylan Tan. :DD

After Cubana finished, since it was a part were we show achievements of the hard work of students, I decided to put in Cycle, by Jay Chou from Jay Chou's Secret. (周杰伦- 不能说的秘密 OST -脚踏车)

It was a little hard to mix Cubana with Jay Chous Jiao Ta Che. Correction, VERY hard. But I had to since I couldnt find anymore suitable songs, and to cut them in perfect unity. SO the trick would be to do a exponential fade for Cubana, and an Exponential gain for Cycle, and try to mix and match the ending and beginning, so that it wouldnt seem like too sudden a change for the audience.

(note, always try to do your titles and text in safe margins, the projector was not HD and parts of the presentation got cut off.) unless you are absolutely sure your display on that day is HD. We corrected it.

Finally, the WMSKL, above and beyond was done in AE. by myself, using optical flares, and alpha matte the text to a image of a cloudy sky, which is keyframed to move from left to right, then the optical flare for the yellow "sun" , once it reached the top, I pushed up the intensity and brightness for a white ending.

We did all video, before inserting the sound. Hence it was harder, but we had to. It is very important to time the sound and video, for that Oomph.

Credits was mostly done by Teik Mun, I simply edited and improved. It contains stock from Video Copilots Evolution, and the color change was done with Ramps. Initially it moved to fast, then we slowed things down a bit.

The audio for Credits was Audiomachines (awesome, they are) Ad Victoriam. Love the Orchestral Epic Music. I had to cut it. With a final thank you. Made in Premiere Pro.

Yup, thats about it. :D

Time to delete the source files.

Its nice, fun, but very stressful, plus given the conditions and people we have to work with... its, well, a mixed bowl of fruit.

VFX is fun, but takes a long long time.

Next up, concert backdrop. Wondering how to implement cool after effects VFX into a 1926, The Sound Of Music Concert. Gahs. Did that for the past 2 days. 3+ hours to learn how to do 5 secs of effects.

I hope its worth it. =D

Back to the post:

Gosh, Chuck versus the Push Mix (Episode 13) was one of the best episodes of Chuck.

It made me all touchy and emotional.

Like seriously, everything was in a mess, and it turned out fine. Chuck proposed, albeit not perfect but turned out great (considering his first fail, which was not his fault)

At the same time, Devon Awesome XD, managed to get over trauma and helped Ellie thru her birth.

He was really tensed after he did not find the push mix (lol, something he was supposed to play to ellie during her childbirth, XD push mix) in his bag and got all stressed.

This was because everything was perfect, until that, everything was meticulously planned, until that. So as the guy that strives for perfection, one small thing did not work out, and he was all stressed.

I don't blame him.

Have you ever felt that? That something you've planned just fails, in one way or the other, and the end result is much less of what you've expected?

If you haven't good for you. Because I know that bad feeling all too well. And if you have not, brace yourself for it. (even that everything requires commitments, on both sides, and someday we'll all realize it.)

Reality's a bitch. I don't know where I got that, but I agree with it.

I mean, certain things, you plan for it, you calculate all the possible scenarios, and outcomes, and even try to minimize the risks of something going wrong, or even control the variables, REHEARSE even. To try make things as perfect as possible.

But as a quote my Murphy, "What can go wrong, will go wrong."

True enough, when given the actual date, sometime will go wrong, which may affect the total outcome, or screw up your previous confidence, leading to a real disappointing outcome. I mean, not to say that the outcome is bad, but heck, its far from the envisioned one.

But guess what, the geek is here to help. Somewhat.

-Somethings just aren't meant to be.
What's not yours, will not be yours, and vice versa. It is one of my Laws Of Life (LOL).

-Somethings are not for you to control.

-Somethings aren't worth it at all.

And, only plan the real epic things. (SPM, life, work, and marraige)

Because, I do realise, the less you plan, the happy you stay.
The less you try to be an active component in something, the more you have to go with the flow.
So no matter not bad reality's sense of humor is, you live with it, and no bother.
Because no effort is made in planning it.
Similarly, you remain happy with what ever outcome.
Because you don't expect.
You don't expect because you have no IDEAL outcome to compare with.

But of course, everything happens for a reason, perhaps it's better that way.

Either way, it has happened, and usually the small things, aren't worth planning, aren't worth moping around, aren't worth thinking too much. Live with reality, and get on with it. That's life.

So, the less you plan, the less you are bound to be disappointed. (still, please plan for the future and epic moments, like SPM).

Man, chuck, is like the best tv show ever.
I mean, geek, spy, and a very attractive girl. Which he has tried for like 2 seasons to get. Which he has succeeded.
Somehow, I relate to this tv series. XD I mean, I actually feel it. For discerning the fact that he is a geek and he has so so so many competitions to face. Good to know he did turn out well, the season isn't ending yet. Yay!

But of course, this is a hollywood TV show, which is totally scripted, which is definitely used to pull suckers for romances like me to watch. But it does teach me alot about life, brings me up when I'm down, and well, gives me hope, be it false or not. =)

Delayed 17th Birthday Post

Yesssshhhh. Exams are over.

Here come the holidays.

Freedom.

For the span of one week at least, then, it's back to the old grind.

The exams have thoroughly screwed my mind, to the extent that many memories that matter so much to me have been somewhat purged.
Now only the significant events remain. =(

However so, this will not be a detailed account of my 17th.
Unlike my nicely documented 16th. (fyi, the one here isn't complete, and censored)

For this is a public blog!

Before I start, I need to explain something I did before that nice day.
Minutes before 12, I went to FB, and turned off birthday notifications.
That means, my birthday won't be broadcasted on that awesome social network.
No I'm not crazy.
But instead I think, that well, although Facebook is a very revolutionary tool, and I really want to invent something like this, for the masses, but well, it has brought friendship to a less personal level.

Well, facebook has generalised everything despite being easy to keep in touch.
But consider this.
Your friend, a very sincere one, remembers your birthday by heart.
The other one takes the trouble to look it up and write it down on the calendar.
Or even the phone organiser.
And then you have many others, who see a facebook prompt on their top right corner.
they then drop by to wish Happy Birthday.
Or even the better ones get a last minute something.

So you tell me, how can you tell, who was sincere and true?
and who depended on Facebook?
on the last day even?
So, I urge that most of you should remove your birthday prompts. (you can do this under accounts>privacy settings>set the birthday to ONLY ME, as in you, not me, lols.)

That way, you see who are true. =)

But of course, another touching event for me would be that, although I removed the birthday notification. I had enough sincere friends to post on my wall. Which sent it to top news. (Something like ___ and 10 other friends wrote on WC's wall) and then they showed the messages. Thus creating a snowball and everyone who was online also posted on my wall.

See, I didn't need the Facebook Prompt. =)

Now, about my 17th.

I had a very very great 17th.

All thanks to my friends.

Besides the fact that I can now drive. (or at least, am eligible to) Many other nice things happened.

All my friends sung that song for a total of 8 times that day.
Never gets old.

I had a surprise birthday cake. (thanks to 2 special people!)
I had presents.
But the precious presents are the notes, and cards.
They mean so much to me.

Cause these things, I shall try my best to keep. For the future, because I'll look back and smile.

I felt very very special on that day.
It's a feeling everyone loves.

But the most precious gifts are my friends.
They made this birthday nice.
They made me feel that, all the things that may have happened, was all worth it.
That staying as honest and true, and trying to help, really isn't for nothing.
I really did not expect a nice 17th. Because the usual milestones are 16, 18, and 21. after that, we all feel a little too old.

Special thanks to Susan, and Seen Yen. You both made my day.

ISKL Sea Forensics 2011

First and foremost, I'd like to share with you a picture I wanted to link but forgotten when I did THIS post. (bottom part)

Yes, the ugly truth. Well, true to some extent.

Right, back to the main business. I went for the International School Kuala Lumpur South East Asia Forensics 2011.

I joined the impromptu. It really was a good experience.

THe food and facilities at ISKL ampang was GREAT albeit expensive. Still, worth its money.
(PS: becareful with the meats. I accidentally ate beef without knowing it. I'm sorry)

THe facilities were just awesome! Everyone was using iMacs and Macbooks.

Sadly I died in the 2nd round. My number was 477!

AFter the opening ceremony and the demonstration of impromptu and solo acting (which were VERY good) (the impromptu demonstrator, Victoria, of ISKL, made her speech like it was prepared so many days in advance, she was SO PRO, like prepared, and completely confident and logical, left not only me and my friends, pretty much other participants jaw dropping, and in awe, but left many impromptu speakers balls shakin'. Assuming they had 'em to begin with. :P)

The topics I had were, (since that I have not managed to find any past year topics online, so thank me for sharing)

ROUND 1.
1. Contest.
2. Big Fish in a Small Pond.

Impromptu, only one minute to prepare and also have to speak a minimum time of 2 mins 50 seconds and maximum 5 mins and 10 seconds.

Wasn't easy. I think I went off topic (choose the second). Much to my surprise. I got a rank of 1 and 4. Yes, once you get inside, you can't go out (for impromptu. other categories did not matter as they all came prepared) and there will be a chair with paper and pencil. Within the envelope you find your topics. Upon pulling it out, the time keeper starts the stopwatch. Then after one minute. You walk to the podium (both contests of mine were in class, they had a nice wooden podium) and off you go. 2 judges will judge you. (duh, what else would they be doing) and then they will write comments on the adjudication sheets, which you shall receive later.

I got my results at the end of the day. By the way, this year there is only one contest per day. (as in for each category, besides debate and oral oratory i believe, as MANY joined those) and the 2nd one was the next day.
My ranking of 1 and 4 made me happy. But bear in mind. The rankings only go as 1,2,3, then 4,4,4,4 depending on the amount of contestants in the room (i had 7, usually 7-8). There were many others who had tons of experience. The 1234444 ranking system is good, because after the first 3, you won't know your actual standing. Seeing 7 out of 7 does hurt your confidence to a certain extent doesn't it?

I'd share the adjudication sheets for you to see, but I can't download them. It's kept private. But here's a tip, be confident, know what you are saying and also make corrections if you said something wrong. (sorry, what I meant to say was ___) and put up a bold front. Have good flow of thought, start nicely, and end with a bang.Quotes are a plus, and even better if you mention who said it. =) so to "prepare" for the unprepared impromptu, read alot, think alot, and learn quotes! Thanks to Hannah for prepping me. =)

ROUND 2:
Topics:
1. Tension
2. Burnt Child Fears the Flame.

Chose the 2nd one. Wasn't so good this time. Got 4-4. Went in as the 2nd last.

As you may notice, Contest and Tension, are 2 attributes that seem to apply to the impromptu speakers. I noticed many contestants all end up talking about themselves currently (take an example, now, I'm undergoing a contest, which is a test, OR I have lots of tension right now, I'm sure you can notice it from my voice.)

I don't think the judges I had liked it. But I'm not sure. No claims please. =)

I also believe Impromptu is well the most interesting to join, you never know what you are going to get, and you can't be prepared. Most fluid. Others are all scripted and prepared. Well, they have to redo acts and speechs everytime they advance. But you only have to do it a max of 4 times. (Excl. Debate)

But it was great fun watching duet acting. =) Everyone is so talented.
Also,
Then we had the other groups. Ashwin, Isaac, Hannah, Clar, Aarathi, Carmen, Edward, , Gwen , Qi Hua, Shaneal, Rayshini, Li-Vern, Joshua, Calan, Lay Yin and one more. =)

Everyone died in 2nd round except the Duets (Isaac-Ash, Clar-Aarathi), Oral Oratory (Hannah and Ashwin) and Edward i believe, forgive me, it's been a week, my memory does not serve me well, especially the current situation. Check with Hannah.

Hannah and ashwin made it to the Semi's, and Ashwin, the lone ranger, got into the finals. Hannah totally rocked. =)

We all thought that it's great already, to survive till there, turn's out, he got THIRD PLACE!!!

I mean, given the amount of training we had, the ~~sucky~~ whoops, i mean "GREAT" service, ( I was called stingy by a certain someone when that teacher told me to get a cab home, and I asked whether if we will be reimbursed) I believe that transport is the least they could do as we were there trying to fight for glory. Getting testimonial isn't the point. I mean, I'm not requesting the SCHOOL to buy food for us is good enough already. (fyi, other schools provided food.) My point of view anyway.

Owh, and the drama games were nice. =)
All in all, although having paid about rm30 for food 2 days there (I'm a glutton) and missing school for 2 days, I did learnt alot. =)

I'm just a big fish in a small pond.

Valentine's Day

Wonder how many people have said this on this day.

Yes, VDay sounds like Dooms Day.

But this year's never turned out the way I wanted it to be.

Aih.

The world is really hopeless.

Seriously.

I mean, I used to think life and the world is hopeless.

But right now it's just the world.

Somehow today it has opposed me.

Of all days.

All that planning. Thinking, ideas.

(I'm not elaborating on that here, please be dissatisfied)

All gone.
(How can Plan A B C D all fail simultaneously?)

Why?

Because the world opposes people at times.

Take this example. Last year, before Coco Night, I went out to McDs ALONE, bought and sat in the McDs ALONE, and then ate the 5.95 McChicken ALONE.

I mean, its fine with me being all alone and all. But you know what.

Sitting around me where all couples. Seriously.

The ones working, the handful from Chunghwa, or even from some Malay School. All were in pairs. Excluding one group of buddies.

Similarly. The forces opposes me again today.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

Never not trust that uneasy, restless, ominous feeling you get occasionally.

It's called instinct.

I mean, excluding those with causes. I mean, the times when for no reason you have that bad feeling.

So trust it.

Take caution.

And as for those who had the world oppose them at their most important moments, we have money. This is why people rent restaurants, or even tip off people to keep that area empty, for them to be alone. Or even have things happen at timed intervals.

They control the variables of life.

Most of it.

The reason why people pay alot to rent a private area to enjoy alone time with that special one or even before proposing. Is to make sure that the forces of nature (or the world) don't play a fool and try to screw things up. To make sure that no one will come and mess it up, like perhaps a drunk idiot suddenly coming in and singing some song, or little brats coming in and say, "ewww!"

Luck just isn't enough, we want to safeguard luck.

For that special moment, planning just isn't enough at times.

Or maybe it's my karma.

Cruel world.

So much for that memorable last F5 valentine thing. Of all days. (I'm a sentimental sucker) I mean, after that, chances are we won't see that person anymore, and they end up as a chapter of our life. (or optimistically, they meet again, and fall in love, the rest, they say, is history) Either way, it's something you will remember.

Or perhaps I simply ain't good enough, to do something right.

I guess, besides blaming the forces of nature. There is no one else to blame, but me.

In my books yes.

Though not that bad.

Right, time for advice now.

What happens when you jokingly say "where's my valentine?" to someone, and that someone actually produces a valentine last minute.

Here i refer the valentine as small tokens of appreciation.

well, from my point of view. You should say, "sorry, I didn't know you'd take me seriously" and then maybe proceed to saying some very clear friend things.

You should not give back a valentine, as they have taken the initiative to buy or get you something, giving back would be a rude and mean action.

Do not buy back or get a valentine for that person.

It makes them to wonder and ponder and screw themselves up.

But if you want to, buy back and give back but explain clearly why you are buying back and also that you are strictly friends.

It's not good to bring other peoples hopes up for nothing.

At least that's how I see it.

But of course, if you laid that joke as a hint that you like the person, and the person responses, then bu-yeah for you. Do what you like.

But don't bring people's hopes up for nothing, and also play with their feelings.

Still there are a LARGE fraction of people not like me, they don't take these things seriously, and think its all good fun and crap. In essence, think before you do the next step. For it affects people.

Also don't take too long to give any answer. A no is always better than silent static.

Do girls usually buy valentines for guys?

Perhaps its here in WMS, but I don't really see that happen here. (then again, I don't see everything)

Or is it a custom for them to just take?

From what I know, it used to be a girl thing, but lo and behold, seems like guys bother more now.

Not that it's a bad thing.

I mean look, just a thought, we should not expect anything in return.

But I believe, fellow males, that girls do not give valentines unless they are in a serious relationship with you.
(That way they don't look vain, and desperate, and we guys have the courtesy of making the first move!) hehehe.

Its that dumb social normality again.

Hoppity Hop, Just the Way You are

Hello!

Schools been real busy lately, and alot has happened.
Somehow it seems like it's been months already, but in reality, a few weeks.

Think of it this way. Like a week. On a Monday you wake up. You feel as if Friday is so damn far.
After a couple of days (for me its Thursday). The week suddenly seems real fast. Next thing I know, its Sunday night. I'm going to moan on Monday again.

Anyways (I dub this as the best kata hubung in English) Chinese New Year is here. A little too soon this year (usually its two weeks after this) as a result, although the holiday is still one week, but the actual CNY starts on Wed (Reunion) and then we have to go back to school on Monday (5th day of CNY).

At least we have the holidays. Owh, and a nice pile of homework to do, how thoughful.
Need to try to get on that Interlok book, now that the Ministry has given it a green light. Read only the Indian part.

So, here's to the year of the rabbit, happy chinese new year! (for fear I do not update until after that). Its going to be slow in the beginning, but really fast after that. Time is always like that. Like in a party. When you arrive, it all seems so cold, and awkward and odd. But by the time you have to leave, you don't feel like it. (if it's a good party that is) and also dinner's. Etcetc almost everything to do with social gatherings. and time.

Now hoppity hop is for the year of the rabbit. and now for just the way you are.

Why turn bad.

Well, perhaps it's because its so hard being a good girl, that at times you just wanna let go and go crazy, and have fun and not care?
Girls do have it harder than guys.
Still, I want to blog this, so that those that are still good girls, won't lose hope, or something, and then jump to the bad girl side.. (also, to leave my mark and move on)
It's understandable that being a "bad" girl seems so much more fun, clubs, drinking, hot guys and all.
But for me I guess its too much of a materialistic thing. and sometimes superficial.
Its all so closely associated to flings.

While the guys in that part may be hot, I can safely say only a fraction seek something more than sex.

So, I do hope, that no one will rush and quickly turn into a bad girl.

So, I can say (guys please don't disown me from the Guy's Clan) : all guys are mentally sick (on sex) at the core.

But of course, it is how well the guy controls himself and also present themselves as a gentleman.

AS the title promised. I've discovered something. Perhaps I'm real late and jakun and all, but nonetheless I'm here to make sure other people who do not know shall suffer no more!

You know, ever since I joined Blogger. The core thing is the WYSIWYG editor. (What You See Is What You Get, cool acronym, no?) and also HTML editor which comes in handy at times when handling links.

I'm pretty sure this old thing has its share of criticism, for one, the painstaking method that is used to upload photos. (max 4 per time, end up on the top, and reverse order), making me hate to upload photos to blogger..

Well, today as a present to start of the new year, I'm going to teach you how to upgrade to a new posting editor. In fact, I'm using the new one now. Looks great!

Reason being. Computers are programmed to deliver, humans aren't.

I wouldn't want to change that. We are after all humans.

Most importantly, it shouldn't be only girls.

Yet, it seems so mainly because I have higher expectations for girls.

Because from countless times, boys seem to prove more hopeless to me.

So it isn't fair for the girls.

There aren't equal expectations (history has shown that it never had been)

Still, not that I hate girls/guys/anyone for that fact.

Just that the many experiences I have had led me to come to such a statement.

Nevermind that.

Back from Korea. Might post a few pictures. =)

Still, being on the airplane for 6 hours each. Also in the bus for about a total of 10+/- hours, it leaves me with a total of 22 hours of nothing to do.

Besides sleep, watch movie, annoy bro.

So thats still quite a bit of free time with nothing to do.

That kind of free time does things to you.

Which has allowed a seed of thought within my mindspace to grow and flourish, blossom in fact.

Now in full bloom, the time is right to pick to fruit, before it wilts and dies.

Hopefully the seeds of the fruit will be sowed into your heads as well.

Lets hope it doesn't take over you.

Mind you, I am in a pretty, optimistic-normal state right now.

So all my thoughts are not that bias.

But maybe my perceptions will change when my emotions go downhill.

I have realised, and I'm sure you have too (if you have went through all of my posts, I am emotionally touched if you have, do let me know. XP), that for the past year(s) of blogging, my stand on Relationships have been changing at times.

I contradict myself.

Call me an ironic ass, or a hypocrite.

Still, it must be made clear, that all the points of view I have presented, hold true to me at that point of time.

Forgive me if it has ruined your life, or cause you sorrow.

I am here merely with my best interests to share my thoughts, as well as remove the plants that have grown from the seeds in my mind.

(enough plant metaphors)

Perhaps I haven't been "growing up" or "becoming closer to the universal truth", rather than moving up in a linear route, I may have been remaining in an endless Merry-Go-Round.

I'm going to try to wrap it all up (impossible I know), however, do not think badly of me, as it may be bias at this time, or it may offend you. (you are always welcome to stop reading)

Still, what ever I say now, holds true to me now.

Don't know how long that will last.

So where do I start?

This is going to be one long post.

When I speak of love, fellow readers and friends. Let me say that I am not going to talk about the love that exists between parents, teachers, GOD (which god you believe in, I'm sure the love they all have holds true and very powerful). Or even some big version of love you all have.

Even true love.

This is because, it's impossible to accomplish it at this age.

Also, as I believe a monk has explained before (forgive me I do not know his name). That that kind of love, the you-are-my-patner kind, the nice one that leads to marriage etc, is selfish.

Selfish love.

For if it was true, or the actual L-O-V-E, both partners would be okay if the other had left him/her for another person. Whatever their descision.

That they would never fight for their love.

Simply because, they have their best interests at heart.

(i.e: Your husband/wife cheats on you and ends up with another person, you are okay with it, you don't go angry, sad, vengeful, yet you simply forgive and let the person go, no strings attached, as you want the person to be happy and have their best interests at heart.)

(EDIT 30/12: okay, bad example. thats just wrong, here's another one: the one you love has decided to go with another man/woman, and you are perfectly fine with it, and even not make him/her feel bad, for you have their best interests in heart. you want the best for them) (thanks to Hannah for pointing that out =) )

Nevermind that kind.

Or even that we-shall-marry-have-kids-and-stand-by-your-side-forever kind.

I'm talking about the "love" that exists between us teens now.

You may throw in infatuation too if you like.

But I'm stressing on the one that goes "you happy, I happy" and "live in the moment, not thinking of the future" kind. The type that seems to complete you.

Though related, I'm not talking about the "rush one gets, the type that always makes you miss a heartbeat, or even lock up, aka Infatuation. Or even puppy love for me"

Aiyoh, the one that exists now. The boyfriend, girlfriend type. You know la.

So no one compare what I'm saying here to God's Love or Parent's Love, Sibling Love.

-I'm pretty sure one day I shall laugh at myself as the boy that doesn't get the whole thing. Or how much of an ironic asshole I am, still it's not for me to think for now-

After all that I have gone through.

I can say safely, that I have no surefire way to get someone to love you.

Everyone is different.

So I hope you won't take this as a guide to get someone's heart. Yet merely as a blog post. That entertains your thoughts.

Hopefully it will help you someway.

However, I'm pretty sure that I have got a few things right.

I can safely say, that not only for me but also many of the boys out there.

We can't really define what we want.

But if you girls have thought that at this time we want a girlfriend. Well, thats not completely right.

That is merely secondary.

I guess most of us, merely want someone to like us back the way we like them, to care, to share, more than friends.

(This does not include the insincere people that just want something, be it sex.)

Girlfriends are secondary.

Before anyone decides to devote everything to this lovey dovey relationship stuff, I must say that it isn't worth it.

The sad times aren't worth it. The times that screw one up.

I'm saying that its great to love someone/ be in a relationship.

The happy times sure are worth it.

But it isn't worth it when you go sad and all.

Or when you lose everything else for it.

Not now.

Always remember. Keep you eye on the ball. (Guys, don't look down okay)

Studies. God. Life. Family.

After that, friends, or special friends or lover, you go arrange that however you see it.

So don't lose everything for this kind of love (im tired of saying this kind of love, or how I have phrased it, it shall be refered to as love for now). It's secondary. Or Tertiary. As far as happy times go, its real sweet and all. But not for the sad times.

We are all suckers for romance aren't we.

This holds true for those that aren't together but are "courting", "trying to get someone to care more than friends" but even for for those that have a boy/girl friend.

Many many relationships have failed, simply because one is too possessive.

Bear in mind that they are still individuals, humans, and not something you own and control.

You can't wear that. You can't go to that, I'm not letting you go for that, you can't talk to that person because I say so. Don't tie your hair like that.

Everyone, that special someone isn't a slave that you have affections for.

Being a bystander, so so many relationships in school have died because one is too possessive, boy or girl.

If you are experiencing it. If you are frustrated. Please understand why.

He/She simple loves you too much.

To the extent that they are afraid of losing you.

This causes jealousy, suspicion, and all that other bad feelings.

They love you too much.

As nice as that sounds. They have to realise that everyone needs space.

Its all about trust here.

No one likes to be controlled.

So everyone should know that, before it's too late.

Nothing can ever hold for long if no one puts in an effort. Or if only one puts in an effort. eg one sided love. It won't be soon before long before the one putting in effort realises its not a very nice situation and then leaving. Its a good thing I believe. But as with cause and effect. Effort must be put in for a result.

Everything relies on effort. Really, to those that have been putting in all the effort. Let go for awhile and see what happens. Ah well.

Assume you managed to force someone to do something, will you feel victory? Maybe so, but it pretty much ruins all the atmosphere, and makes it all awkward. Leaving you with regret. So unless your a boss or even a paying customer, with no ties/futher meetings with that person, forcing someone to do something doesn't make life happy.

Appreciate what you have now, in the moment.

Nothing is forever (exclude the few cases), appreciate what you have, while balancing what you want/expect. Before it's gone. It'll be too late.

If it's over and gone, while, just appreciate that you had what you had when you had it. (LOL)

At least you had something.

Girls/Guys being sought after, please don't try to be sympathetic and put up with it. It ain't right. It's hard. Sure he/she may be happy. But only for awhile. As with lying/telling late. It's best to come clean straight at times. It may seem to hurt more. But trust me, if he/she finds out later, see which one has more hit points.

Conversely, much as I like openess and transparency, I do know, that there are things that aren't meant to be asked, at least not at a time. Besides, whats the fun and mistique if all is gone? :P

Well, for one, everyone may blame him, call him stupid and all.
Yes, it is a dumb action,
but is it entirely HIS fault?
What about the girl?
Unsure of the specifics, but well, the girl is at fault too, right?
Then again, she has a choice.
So, who is at fault?
At the same time, it is both of them, and none of them.

You can't blame the guy, its his life, (and he did say, love game, I can't play) and as for the girl, she may seem to be cruel to him (one of the links there I saw), but it could be only due to him. Him over-thinking things, or even pushing it. The girl may have put him down gently, but he was persistent.

Look, I am at no right to comment on other people and their love life.

But one thing for sure. At least to me. Is that. Suicide ain't worth it. Especially for this sort of relationship case. Not even married.

If any of you do have a suicide thought. Come on, drop it. It just goes to show that well, the guy/gal, ain't worth it. and doesn't deserve you. Don't throw away your life for someone that doesn't appreciate you in the first place.

Fine, screw them, become gay (no offense intended) or even end up addicted to online games. Anything. But not kill yourself over someone like that.

For the record though, as dumb as his action may be. I respect him for doing that somewhat brave, selfless act of "love". Although I do not condone it. Not many do that. Especially on facebook. Still a dumb thing to do though. But of course, he see it as a worthwhile thing to do.

I still think girls aren't worth DYING for though. Or money, or fame, for that matter.

Fresh Mints and bits and pieces

Here's something I'd like to share.

See, those metal boxes and plastic boxes?

I ate all of the mints from there for this year.

Theres erm, 9 boxes of Eclipse, 2 Extra Mint, 1 Clorets, 1 Tick Tack there i believe.

One box of Eclipse has like, 50 mints.

So, this year, I had an approx. 450+ xx = at least 500 mints.

500 mints.

In a duration of 11less than months.

An average of about 2 mints a day. Minus-ing the few i may have shared, dropped, lost (less than 20).

I can have up to 5 per day.

Erm, its like 2 boxes more than last year.

Ahahaha, been eatin' mints since form 2 i believe.

Cuz bad breath ticks everyone (not only girls) off.

Still, it doesnt completely prevent me from having bad breath.

Even with brushing, drink LOTS of water [im an aquaholic in school, dessert camel at home], oral care etc etc and these mints, Im quite sure there still are times. XP

A little really amounts to alot....

U must think I'm a maniac or something (heck, even I think there's something wrong with me when i see the empty boxes).

I was spring cleaning my room by the way. looks better now. lol.

Hey everyone, well, holidays have been pretty great, and I’ve been kept occupied, so much to do! And to watch (movies,fringe,chuck, whee~) to the extent I have once again neglected my blog here. So well, I had the inspiration to blog this like one week ago, but then, I’m a real procrastinator, so well, nows the time~

Prepare for another Great Wall Of Text, though I’m sure it’s gonna be a shorter one than my other walls.

Let’s talk. Erm, I’ll start with my previous post, the one on Special Friends.

Honestly speaking, special friends, what is it?

Is it a good perspective that people use to comfort themselves when they are unable to achieve the other status they want?

You know, as they say, a special friend is more than a friend, but less than a lover?

That grey area between friend and lover?

That area that so many guys seem to dread, and seem to hate being stuck at? The area that a very popular Nice Guy culture seems to put most guys that want something more, but are unable to?

Or is it merely an excuse for the guy/girl to obtain benefits from the person, with no strings attached?

No Terms and conditions?

No commitment?

A way of labeling the person as such, which eliminates all issues of love, which solves the problem of commitment, in a very nice way, and at the same time being warmer than just friends

Still, you sad people out there, who somehow got hurt by that guy or gal, I guess there isn’t any harm to being a Special Friend to that person now is it?

Let’s look at this optimistically (coz if I look at it pessimistically I’ll end up in an endless vortex of emoness, which isn’t exactly the best place to be, trust me I’ve been there, done that) : Or would you prefer to be not friends at all?

So I guess, special friend, is all of the above, how you want to think of it, there is no such thing as wrong or right on this.

A reason to stay close, but not be a boyfriend/girlfriend. A status that defines a person that you like them, but not romantically. A just friends, not lovers status. No lovey dovey commitments.

Is that good? We’ll figure it out yourself, I don’t want to take out all the fun~

Back on track, this online webspaces, lets us share what’s on our mind.

In essence, privately public.

Yay an oxymoron.

Without a doubt, it is that ironic expression I’ve just used.

This is because, those things you have on your mind, which are supposedly private and exclusive to certain people, are being made available online. For the world to see.

Thoughts, fantasies, ideas, lyrics, the food you eat, what you want, feelings, emotions, all being published online.

You know, I think Facebook is a cool tool, but it takes away the people relations on a much more intimate level.

Screw the people who break up online. Or sms, IM, I think that person deserves at least a face-to-face notification, not some notification you see on the top left corner of the monitor, and also the Message Received From : XXX that you see on your phones.

Same thing vice versa. These webtools have become a great invention for people to do all that mushy,mushy,touchy feely, awkward-ky, wierdy stuff online.

To put it bluntly, it’s a great way for people with no guts,bravery,balls to confess/breakup/declare war.

Joking about the last part. Im saying it takes out the whole people feeling/touch into those things that deserve more.

A letter at least la.

Think about it, one day are you going to tell your daughter that the first boy who confessed to you was online? Doesn’t seem very romantic to me.

Speaking of first times and romantics.

Do first times matter? (besides losing your virginity,baby, and all that other important stuff)

I’m talking about first time at Starbucks. Or Baskin Robbins, sharing food [thinking of all the wonderful sweeties now cuz i'm hungryy], movie with a guy/girl that likes you, first time on LRT~ All that little things. (As little as they may be, they mean big, a lot. PS: oxymoron?)

Sentimentally, they mean a lot. But, well, ish, I’m not gonna deconstruct my thoughts here on that.

Owh yeah, my first Starbucks was with my cousin) in 2009, I craved starbucks after that. But my second one, was with him again, about one year after that. =| see how much of a procrastinator I am? XP

As with romance. Gosh, as much as I do not believe in it. I’m still a sucker for one.

It doesn’t take much to make me go awwwhhh and all warm N’ fuzzy inside. Sensitive and all.

Even the movies, touching ones. Emotionally, not physically erotic movies.

Though it takes me now less than 2 hours to shake of the feeling and come back to reality.

Hey everyone! As you might have noticed, if you do drop by my blog, is that I haven't updated it in quite a while... Which, is kind of a good thing, because less posts, means less sadness, means more happiness for me, that I am truly enjoying myself, most of the time. Btw, listening to Simple Plan again, my childhood fav. Man I love their songs. [try simple plan-when i'm with you or I'd do anything or .... (alot more)] awesome!

Still, I might be doing a tutorial next post. Due to many friends asking me, I shall do a tutorial on how to download movies - using utorrent. Watch out for that!

Next on, following the title. Please note that this is another figment of my thinking, and that I am perfectly happy for now. =) (save the occasional unhappyness, but generally, happy). Still, here's something to read, and maybe it'll give you something to ponder. =)

In Italy, where boy meets girl, they go for pizza, under the moonlight, as they eat that cheesy bread, a violinist plays romantically in the background, by the candlelight, they sip red wine. They toast, eyes staring into each other, a burning passion, love.

You had a bad day, boss just fired you, you are jobless, on the way down, you trip on the stairs and fall, walking on the streets, rain falls, you trip and fall again, limping to the nearby bus station for shelter. People are all minding their own business, as you want to ride a taxi home, you notice, you have no money. How lucky. At the moment when there seemed to be no hope, none at all, and that the world is as sad as it’ll ever be, a girl (boy) walks by, sees your sadness, and offers to help. At the instant, you both click, and as if fate brought you both together, it seemed, as if, it was right. The feeling was right.

Its that night again, on Friday, where you would meet your best friend, a girl (boy) for some drinks and chat, nothing special, it’s been something you’ve been doing for the past few months. Besides, the girl (boy) ‘s been your best friend since god-knows-when, only this night, the sms you received from her seems different. Somehow you find yourself looking for the best outfit to wear for the get together tonight. As you both meet, “Hi”, that ever similar greeting, seems different. You sit down, and the next thing you know, both of you are staring into each other’s eyes, that smile of her’s (his) never seemedso beautiful. Oh God, somehow, along the way, both of you have fallen in love. Before you know it, the nights over, and somehow you find yourself kissing her goodbye. It’s all different, all new, in a good way.

You’ve just broke up, life somehow seemed like ending, everything seems grey, he/she seems so happy with the other girl/guy. Why must the world seem so cruel? The world really sucks. After recess, the teacher announces a new transfer student, and your seats empty. He/She walks to you, as you expect to be anti-social, you prepare. She/He sits, you look at her, somehow, the words you prepared, don’t come out right. He/She looks at you, just as amazed. Before you know it, both of you depend on each other, and seem to be, MFEO (Made for Each Other)

I could go on.

But what a load of crap this is.

Look at it, isn’t this our idea of romantic? Lovely? Sweet? The candlelight dinner, the strangers being MFEO, the whole fate thing, the i-had-a-sucky-day-till-i-met-you scenario? The list goes on, you name it.

The box office movies most probably has it.

Romantic? Fate? Mr Right, Mrs Perfect? Owh please. Fairytale endings?

Ever notice, how much everyone seems to be, a sucker for love?

Don’t deny it. When you watch a romantic comedy, when you see a couple doing all that couply things. When you listen to pop songs going on about some boy or girl, and some truck of theirs. When you see pictures that seem so right, so perfect. It makes you go, awwwww. Don’t deny it. For some, it makes them wonder, what it would be like, to be like that, and some, stare at their hands, wondering, when they’d be holding on to someone else’s, giving protection, or receiving comfort.

Yes, we are all suckers of love.

Oh My God, that is so romantic. Think, ever thought, how we are all influenced by the movies, songs, drawings, books, literature, novels, pieces, of love? They all seem to paint a picture of your ideal love story.

Wake up.

All these, are commercialized. Think of it this way, the movies are all scripted. At that moment, violin will play, boy enters, at that second, girl looks up, at that other second, their eyes meet. Blab la bla you get the story. The best of it all, we watch and digest the movies. Or even the emo songs, we thank the artistes for the emo songs, or the lovey dovey ones. Best of all, if you realize. The movies, behind it all, is maybe some director whos got your money, and is living the high life. The artists are getting paid for you to be emo.

When there is a demand, there is a response. Everyone wants love. Well, the industry has done a damn good job of satisfying our need for ‘love’.

Allow me to use movies again, somehow, they end on a touching note. Happy or not. Think further. Will that girl you have pizza with be able to live with you, through thick and thin? Or that stranger that helped you, would her background be as you envisioned? The girl you just met, sure, feeling may be right, but how long will it stay? When will all those scenario, replay? For someone else?

Life ain’t scripted. So is love. As potong stim as it may be.

Love love love. So perfect. You can’t stop thinking of her, she’s the best thing that ever happened to you. OMG, I can’t live without her. We’re MFEO. It was a match made in heaven.

Blah.

We are all so influenced by music, movies, books. They make money out of us. Obviously, they make it as perfect as possible, so that you’d be satisfied. All these are merely ideas of others, put through a mushy storyline for us to be engrossed in.

Consider Romeo & Juliet, yes, its so ‘romantic’ to die of love, to be reunited in heaven. Still, what if Romeo got sent to hell? Or, Both Romeo and Juliet didn’t die, and got to live their lives? Would Juliet be satisfied with Romeo? Would Romeo be happy with Juliet and her family past?

Or Rapunzel. The story ends where the witch is killed, and the Prince marries her, happily ever after. Really? What happens next? Prince gets annoyed with Rapunzels hair which is too long, getting in the way of everything? The soup that Rapunzel prepares has one too many hairs?

We’re all much too fucked up by all these elements of entertainment, to the point where our viewpoint of ‘romance’, is much too naïve.

No, that boy that has Chem class with you isn’t your Romeo. No, that girl SMSed you solely for the sake of homework or Tech Support (lol) and not anything more. No, lending your physics homework to that boy doesn’t make you his girlfriend. No, just because he is staring at you numerously on that particular day doesn’t mean he has fallen for you. Your bestfriend isn’t going to fall for you all of a sudden, chances are, you misread the signs and she is still strictly thinking of you, as a friend. No, slim chances that you will find some perfect guy from Paris and you will marry,have kids, and live happily ever after.

No, I don’t think your crush is a spy agent or a prostitute, which brings in income for her family, nope, he isn’t a werewolf. No, the only thing she might be sucking is your money, nothing more. No, never even ask a girl you’ve just met if she is familiar with the various positions. No, we men nowadays rarely come packaged in knights of shining armor and girls aren’t exactly ‘Damsel in Distress’. Guys, owh, sick minds, no this are possible scenarios, but 99.99% of the time, it’s just you. Either you think too much, or watch too much movies.

All these ‘romantic’ scenarios in our heads, are much too over rated for life. It rarely happens that way. RARELY (not impossible, but rarely), that’s why we mustn’t think too romantically at times. It screws us up.

As mushy and loveable as they are, never let them get into your head. Even if it does, it should get in your way of general thinking and also life. Thinking romantically may keep you in Cloud 9, but what if you learn some ugly truth about life? I’d rather be in Cloud 3 (pun intended, as in, less happy than Cloud 9, but happy nonetheless) and have my foot tied to the ground, rather than losing myself, and then only to fall. The fall isn’t worth it. Same with thinking to romantically. No point if it affects you too much.

So cry, grieve, shout, scream, tear your hair out, move on, get over it. No, less chance, no hope that she’ll like you, because when you tried, and she said no, chances are, no means no.

Dry your tears, and start walking.

Perhaps it is comforting for you to know that this is merely a work of the mind. Or that perhaps maybe you’d be delighted to know that you’ll be going all over this again later in life.

Experience is what you get, when you don’t get what you want.

Sometimes, it really just isn’t worth it. It shall remain as your fantasy.

Best thing about them is that, they are all scrunched together. Whee.

Since I'm here, allow me to present another figment of my thoughts.

You know, I believe I said somewhere about happiness, that it is artificial, yada yada yada?

Well, I still believe it.

I mean, happiness and sadness is well, extreme points of emotion, right? Anger too.

And well, hatred etc.

Assume we plot it on a graph. We can never really achieve a straight horizontal line, constant now can we?

Humans, we are, flawed, we are.
It is our weak point, and also a strong point as well.

Nothing's changed on that. Just that I want to add.

I still look at happiness, as well, the beginning of sadness.

Sometimes.

Well, lucky there's hope beside me. (I mean, at the end of the tunnel)

Happiness, as artificial as it is, a state of mind. We should try to maintain it.
I mean, I'd rather be sad happy than be sad. World's much more gray when I overlay sadness.

Still, we must watch ourselves.

For happiness is subjective.

Like other emotions, it is very very easily influenced by others.

So, we shouldn't be overjoyed, but not miserable as well.

I mean, its good for me to be happy.

But I have a gut feeling, its not gonna last.

Perhaps thats why we all appreciate happiness.
Maybe my current state of happiness, is due to others.

Easily affected.

Still, better be happy for a moment, than to be not happy at all.

So, find your source of happiness (I advice, many sources, coz sometimes, people fail, its not their fault, its human nature)

And, be happy.

I of course, don't want to stop having this feeling of happiness. But well, all good things must come to an end.

And the end is just the beginning.

Right, thanks to Gee Keat for tagging me in this blasted things. I shall do them, with a twist. It's gonna be long. Up to you to read, tagged you because I think you might want to know, or may help you. or am interested. remove yourself if you want to, im fine with it. no offence taken.

1. Do you need him/her to be good looking?

Well, this is subjective. But in general terms, YES. Yet, good looking? Can't really define that. What may be pretty to you, may not be to me, like a diamond in the rough, or a glass filled half full, it really is based on how you see it, and is subjective. There isn't a generalisation for good looking. thats superficial.

2. Smart?

Well, smart, dumb? Who is to point fingers to judge? He may seem smart, but he might be a dumbass to me. So yeah, still, usually, when you like someone, I'm quite sure you won't call them Stupid , and mean it, that is. =)

3. Preferred age?

Again this doesnt matter. Seriously, okay maybe now, it's like an impossible phenomena and surprise that we have f5s with form 1s. Then again, when you go out to work. Doesnt really matter does it? By that time, we'll be all damned with superficiality that we judge their age by their physique. A kiddish mindset never hurts. Then again, call me old-fashioned. I'd prefer either same age. Or younger. Seen youung men with older women? Its a head turner. No need for that. Still, love, would transcend age.

4. Preferred height?

Lols. If I were to act wise, I'd say it doesnt matter. Love should transcend height too. Still, personally. As a guy, I'd prefer girls shorter than me, same height. (but if same height, and she wears high heels. sad) not that I'm close minded, just preference. Still, If a day really comes, and I have a tall patner. So be it. =) Worlds changing.

5. How about sense of humor?

Yes. then again, in the correct amounts. Still, think about it, when you do like someone, this aint gonna be so important now will it. Else you wouldn't like the person in the first place. If you are 'infatuated' , everytihng will seem perfect. Even if she doesn't laugh at all, you might think she has a sense of humor. Still, generally speaking, I think all girls I've met so far (with that I mean, cross paths in life as friends, colleagues, etc) have a sense of humor. =) No issue here.

6. How about piercings?

Ears I guess. Tummy? lols, hey maybe I'll find that sexy, but I havent really though about it. So superficial. I myself, won't pierce though. Got enough poison and foreign substances in me already.

7. Accepts you for who you are?

Well, obviously. That is, of course, accepts me largely for what I am. Bad traits, should be changed. Whats the point of liking a girl that doesn't accept you for your core self? (Of course, many beta males are dumb enough to wait around, credit given to them, sad lot. It's okay, we're loyal I guess)

8. Pink hair?

You mean by highlights? sure why not. Superficial again. By the sides. I think it looks nice. A little LIGHT color on the sides. Especially when the hair's down. Then light makeup (base) never hurt. =) Oh, Like Ohmygawd, I feel odd suddenly, talking about high lights and makeup. XD But one thing, natural is best.

9. Mushy, or not?

Mushy? As in, romantis? Why not. Not always of course. Mushy, in a lovey dovey way, and also privately, never kills anyone. Still, contary to the movies. I think I'm like mushy-ier than other girls for now. :P

10. Thin or fat?

SUPERFICIAL!!!!!! But well, I would accept the person for who she is, so yeah. Not a biggie here. But no doubt, first impressions count. Because we are stupid organisms. Its an instinct sort of thing. For the sake of an answer. Somewhere In between

11. Black, Brown, Yellow or White (skin color)?

1 MALAYSIA. - Thats what Gee Keat said.

Now this. Not to say I'm a racist. But I'm kinda narrow minded on this for now. Chinese.

Still, love transcends this.

We're talking about preference are we? Well, long. And straight-ish, lil curly is also fine. And Let me add my question: Tied or Letdown?

Let Down. Beautiful. Girls are. =) but of course, this is superficial, and can be changed.

13. Plastic or metal?

Don't get this. I'm gonna take this to abstract terms. No I do not like fake girls. PLastic. Nice to look at etc, but deep down, plastic. Metal? cold solid metal? or hot iron? Cold heart? what can I do if I do like someone with a cold heart. To the extent I radiate my heart's warmth to try to melt her? to convert it to hot iron? whats the point. Nil for this question.

14. Smells good?

Not that I'm a sicko (actually, in basic sense, all guys are sickos) But girls all generally smell good to me. Especially when compared to guys. The fairer sex as they say. Perhaps its an instinct, but guys can remember the smell vaguely. (don't think sick please)

15. Smoker?

Nope. Wouldnt fall for her in the first place. But if you're talking about talent at smoking stuff (fish,meat,bbq) why not? XDXD

16. Drinker?

Well, little is fine. And what happens to people's consious when they are drunk is interesting. Not always though.

Actually what does that mean? Beautiful? Down to Earth? Natural? If so, yeah. Always visits your house? Lols, that isn't exactly a trait there.

Hey i heard that girls do not really show muscle (eg buff). So yeah, no preference here. (BEsides, Ima wimpy beta male, no right to expect :P)

Hahas, So far almost every girl plays some instrument. Not a must. But why not. Besides. Visualising a girl playing some love song by the piano... yeah... lols.

.... okay? lols, I have no expectations on this. The only Instrument I play .. (see next question)

Makeup, manicure, pedicures? Well, its okay, but natural, is the ultimate beauty of a girl.

Well, I prefer the good type? This, may change. And some other traits may outshine this. But yeah. Good.

Any girl can do this. Tight? wear tight clothing. Bomb, be smoking hot? This doesn't matter. No preference. But well, its inner beauty that counts.

Hahas, no special preference. But both of these are talents not hard to find within the fairer sex. I like both type though. Don't have also don't care.

Most of the answers are superficial, and can be changed. Ultimately it is inner beauty that counts. We, as beta males, can't stress this enough. I really don't see a point of a patner who is 'hawt' but can't do nothing with me (emotionally). Its a connection, an imprint (for the twilight readers), something, both must make happen to make it work. Something both must put in effort to. No point if its only by one person.

And loyal. Faithful. I hate people who cheat. Especially in such things. Its cheap. This is something hard to see in a girl nowadays.

And to all the beta males out there. It's okay. To be hurt when you see things you don't wanna see. ITs okay to feel like crap and emo and all. But to certain points. Don't be a control freak. Still. THats not hte point here.

Sometimes. It is just not worth it. One day, you are sure to realise. She's just not that into you. No point being hurt, when she doesnt really care. Her actions, its not entirely her fault. We the beta males are just easily mind - fu*ked.

And sometimes we put in too much. NEVER expect the equal equivalent. It won't happen.

So I advise. Care less. Yes. At times, you must not put in a whole heart. Thats too much. ITs not worth it. Giving it all, getting hurt. And you in a thinking frenzy.

See girls, thats why we see many guys who don't care. They at some point of their lives MAY have understood this, and killed all emotions. Which as a catalytic effect, may produce flirts. Thosee, who just want to have fun, maybe nest time, to just sleep with girls, and be gone, not commiting. Because some may have lost and got hurt, fell down. and not want to experience it again.

Its not your fault girls, partially that is. Just remember, be loyal, and faithful, guys too.

As for girls, let the guys know, what you are to her, some times. As much as it may seem like we don't give a damn, we do. Let htem know, that is, if you care, and also if you do like him too, that he is special to you. Save him from fu*king himself up.

Whee I finally got the Title I made up on my blog!

Thanks to Andrew Kramer for the 3D Sparks Tutorial at VideoCopilot.Net , the site thought me how to do the cool effect in After Effects. =)

LOLs, but after that I went thru alot to get it up to the site, and remove certain elements, make it loop and autostart. Web code yeahh..

Its a 4 second composition (effect), but it took me 2 hours to make it.
Probably because I'm a noob at this and also I was almost done once, but Adobe After Effects CS5 Crashed on me... so around 1hr?

Ironically, the tutorial was only 9 minutes ...
Ah well, at least I learn ..

Damn, school semester starting again...

You know something, I wondered for some time. You know how a baby's eyes look like? So full of curiosity, purity , chastity? So unknowing? So untainted? That Sparkle?

Especially when they look at you, makes you want to give em all you can...

But then ever wonder, what happens to it over the years ?

That sparkle is lost ...

I believe, every child comes to this world with a curiosity and unknowing, so pure it is... however, the world and environment shapes the baby.. slowly, as they grow, they see more, know more, even things they don't want to see, they become tainted, jaded, thanks to everything that happens around them... slowly, they lose that sparkle, it becomes dimmed..

Soon, all's that left are cold , emotionless, and tired eyes. Sparkle's all gone now...
(okay, at this point, I do realize that we have contacts and drops etc to make it sparkle again!, but its not the point here okay, thats artificial, like most happiness is)

Forgot to post something here!

On the second day of the concert, I met JJ from Hitz.FM in MidValley! THat was during the K outing we had.

I was like fumbling to take the girls photos first, but then, he was like almost going, then i thought that it be really dumb of me not to get a picture with hum when he was so close, let alone I helped others take their pics. LOL.

Lucky me, I have always been a big fan of him.

We saw him when we were at Deli.cous, and asked, "Are you JJ of Hitz.fm", he was like yeah. So we said hi, then he went off after saying hi. FOr about 5 seconds, all of us were damn blur, then it hit us to go and take a pic with him. So we ran after him. LOL.
He is really a nice guy, he was with his family. So we asked, and he said "ok wait, my son" he then grabs his 3-ish year old son and passes it to his wife before taking a photo with us.

You got to like someone after listening to him every weekday morning for the past 4 years right?

After that, we played bowling, actually before the photo we went to the arcade, which was a waste of time, then lunch, I like to say that you should not go there and eat lunch, only the desserts are nice. I ate the cabonara.. RM 30! (after we went back to school i ate the school cabonara, RM2) XD. ANyway after that we went bowling, I didnt join tho, watched only, I sucked at it the first time and also I was kinda full after lunch. THen lepak around somemore, (damn I wished we watched a movie, ah well, bad descision then). Anand's mum was kind enough to give us a lift back to the school, early tho. On the way, me and max and eng seng, hahahaha, at the back, we somehow talked about a certain girl, which is related to my friend, which anand's mum knows. So without knowing, we accidentally screwed him. Sort of, embarassing. Funny thing is that. When it was around 6, I went with max and engseng to McD and buy dinner. I teman sajalah. (goodthing tho, cuz after that Evo Nite I walked there ALONE, and ate ALONE, at that point, everyone mostly frm chunghwa either was coupling or a group, man, the world is opposing.) Came out, then "Apple" called, asked ES to help buy something. We did, and wow, I'm lucky when I follow where EngSeng and Max goes. Calvin passed by us in the car, so his mum turned around and gave us a lift back to school!!! Durian runtuh lah!

Now here's another funny part. In the car, I asked why he came for both days, then he gave reason like prefects. then ES and MAX chipped in, jokingly teasing him, that he had ulterior motives, to see certain someone. XD. His mum also sort of said, I dunno why he wants to come so early, and go home so late. So he was sort of embrarassed.

So in one day, 2 friends helped, and we sorta screwed them (embrarassed UNINTENTIONALLY), without knowing it. Haha.

Owh and thanks to MacWai constantly observing my patterns and habits during the concert, he pinpointed a certain dance, and started teasing me about it. XD, think I already bloggged about that, in the previous Concert post, use the Google search widget I put there to search for it.

Ah, good times.

Our Toys Have Arrived + Famine 2010

Hello peeps, just gonna do a quick small postie on the Famine, really delayed, it was a week before the concert.
Famine 2010 was organized by the interact club. It was.... nice. Haha
I didnt shake like I did last time I joined in form 2, i think i was sugar-ing, after like 30 hrs without food then suddenly eat alot. This time was ok, also, they limited the food to small snacks so we wouldnt get sick.

Most of the participants are LEOs or INTs, which pretty much make up the bulk of the participants. I personally think that, well, the real people who joined were the original participants, who took their Sat and Sun to join the Famine without being forced like the leos, which was compulsory for them. So yeah you guys all rock! Im not saying it cuz im an original participant (I can hear you mind conclude, perasaan-NYA budak ni.. haha, but really cuz they werent forced.

Games and activities were all fun, it managed to take my mind of food, only time i was bored was when I came at 7.40, wait till like 9 to start, and also at night when every group was waiting to play one game... all in all it was good. =)

No sweat this time, wasnt hungry, tho I was sick during the famine. When I woke up that day i knew I was sick, but i still went anyway, (a promise is a promise haha), suffered a little, and took a total of 12 panadol pills during the camp to suppress my fever, which shot up immediately after I stop taking the pills at home, rendering me absent on monday, gosh I broke my perfect attendance on that day. Ah well, it was worth it, sorta...

I think its pretty much it, I had fun, it was good, I was sick, It was worth it, sorta, haha, don't think i can join next year coz i din tell my parents I was sick till i was like really feverish at home. Oh well. Thanks to the interactors, I know how much of effort you all put in and all the crappy stuff that you all are forced to go through (trust me i do). =)

Ok, that aside, gosh, its kinda long already, nevermind, another great wall of text here. I am happy to announce that the lizard eggs have hatched!! Now why did I put such a random title? I dunno, its a Gorrilaz video and somehow i associated it with the hatching of the small house lizards. A picture is worth a thousand words, so here it is: -

First one hatched on the 20th of July.

It was kinda scared, and also the photoshop script i made made the photos a lil blu-ish, sry, anyway they werent good shots to begin woth, nigttime, slow speed, and no flash, scared I blind the little lizard forever.

(above) the second one! hatched on the 10th of august! Gee, they really took their time. I was about to throw the remaining 2 away, lucky they came out in time, the first one was fast, the the second one was kinda slow, and the last one came 2 days after the 2nd. I was gonna throw em away cuz i tot the other 2 fail, since they turned black-ish. But yay they came!

Sry la, might sound gay, or may be gross to you, but there is a certain cuteness to it, like a snake, its small, beady eyes staring at you, and the signature tongue movve. Haha, but that is deadly. This is good!

I love this picture the most, like the clearest, and better lighting.

First one was released into the nearby jungle, but i think it found its way back, maybe it can sense,smell, its brethren or it likes my house. After that the 2 came out, and my 1st bro was so smart, open the thing container and not being careful, the 2 leapt out and ran. Now I have 3 new lizards in the house! And I have seen some of them staring at me/us from the ceiling, lol, quite certain they are the ones we hatched, small. Hahaha, supposed to release them into the wild so they dont stay at our house, got enough already, them foraging the rubbish, (I saw one eating my leftover chicken fat from the chicken roce box and it stared back at me!) and not to mention the black stuff they leave around the house. (poop!) On the bright side, besides the dark things they leave behind, they eat mosquitoes. =) Many of them have grown quite big!

Haha, its my first time seeing house lizard eggs, wished I saw em hatch too.

Concert 2010 FDS Behind the Projectors

A long due post, but i guess its something i need to write out for well, memory? Because this concert has taken up a fair bit of my time this year.

After last year, I was in the programme booklet, this year somehow i was there too, but then after that i felt it wasnt right and i switched to the LCD projection team. and for the record, its not even an LCD, its just a projector incapable of HD displaying on a piece of white cloth. =|

This year was Flower Drum Song. Check it on wikipedia, not that interesting~

And u could say doing that was looking for trouble.
Programme Booklet was much less stressful. But like the law of equivalent exchange, you cant gain anything without sacrificing something. So from the Production Team, I learned alot. Especially 3D sketchup. Better perception of 3D objects now i think.

So stressful, racing for the deadline too. Fyi, this years backdrop had 7 versions. Well, there was a 7.5 version, cuz uhh, dvd player probs and also we din want to make it v8. The last week was always changing. Im sure we used up like 25 DVDs.

MacWai was the man this year. And he really did it, after effects, even using 3ds max. I have really big shoes to fit in next year.

I remember last last years team. I can say that that team was more fun, but of course, this was more fruitful. Fyi, eventhough the DVD player is incapable of displaying HD 1280x720 or 1920x1080 , only 720x480 pixels, we were still smart enough (crazy i mean) to go and export as Full HD.

Great fun this year, tho stressful, working with macwai, chee bin and Haozhe, James later too. Essentially we were the backdrop projection team. With the others on booklet. I was crazy most of the time. You know, under dire pressure, we laugh at it in the face?

To the extent that on the second night of the concert when I was collecting autographs for the good times, James even signed with a friendly note : U R Crazy! Hahaha

Well this years is over, as for next year. I hope I can do it.

Right, also here I want to thank Mdm Sarah and Mdm Kumari, for uhh, erm, they know themselves. =)

Speaking of which, haha, the production team got really suspiscous of me in the AV Room, when i said I wanted to watch certain dances, of someone take over, hahaha, I even managed to drag james down the line too, because when we were doing our stuff, 2 form 1 girls came and asked for his house number, apparently for his sisters sake, got something to do, so i used it to tease him and especially when the Spring Dance was on. Good Clean Fun. Eh MacWai (Mac-ky , LOL, winkwink)

Owh, also, here's something worth noting, Concert 2010 DVD is done! Yes, I missed like 2 weeks of lunches and games, 1 chem and maths class to get it done. Now only left the credits.

Also, after suggestions, there will be a HD version for you people with large LCD/Plasma/OLED screens out there. However, there is a catch, the DVD will only be playable on computers. Its essentially an MP4 HD file. So either u watch it on the computer with your big screens, or you hook it up to your big TVs via the monitor port, HDMI if you all have pro graphic cards. OR, you have a super-canggih media player that plays anything you throw at it. Why so? because regular DVDs with all the menus and all, are incapable of HD, only the standard 480 pixels. So the HD version has no menus too, its only in Full Hd, its wat you HD junkies want.

As for the pricing, is TBA (To BE Announced), im not in charge of that, the photography club is. Im just at the computer club lending a helping hand. I don't mind i guess. Its something nice to do, but of course, next year cukup la.

Owh, to answer the question that may not have arose from your head, the DVD is a Combination of Friday and Saturday, Best of Both worlds, i'll leave it to you to spot where the cuts and continuations are, I timed it down to the millisecond, to the frame, so its quite unnoticeable.

9999, Finally ... Happy Birthday Susan!

Due to the very eventful life of F4, and not to mention FB, I haven't been updating.

So many posts pending, famine, concert, life, love, lol, and the many floating thoughts in my mind, some of which i have always wished to pen/keyboard on (means type out here) and some of which I never wished i thought of, or later regretted. The mind is an extremely powerful thing (can't call it a thing actually, or tool, for it is too mighty). At times, it gives Eureka moments, other times, you can't stop it. For it taints every thought it originates, might lose it, but we must persevere.

Sometimes, saying "Don't think too much (or even without too much) about it," seems easier said than done. At times, I do not control my mind, it controls me.

EvoNite was fun by the way, though Coco nite and Science nite was better, maybe because it rained?

Moving on, back to the title and objective of my post, on this long neglected webspace o'mine.
(forgive me for the cynical tone, lately it seems to be the dominant point of view for me, not emo-ing, just that i erm, rediscovered, and also realised, certain facts of life that seemed to contradict many things, ignore it for now please. )

As many know, this number isn't the actual number of unique visits, im using an older counter, new ones can track actual visits compared to pageloads, I know some of you who press refresh on your blogs just to bring up the hits, I never done that, so my theory, would be that since pageloads include your own loads, we take the first 3 digits from the number, eg (the number 3456, take 345) and minus it from 3456 to take the total actual amount, though it isnt accurate and also, wrong at times (if your counts goes 5 digits, take first 4) so its a theory i'd wanna share thats all.

Like the awards, I'd like to thank my 2 computers (Ye Old Faithful P4 desktop, and dads C2D laptop) for they are the 2 machines I always posted on. Had a surprise party for her too, like last year, thanks to Looi Ling for both years, it really is had to find friends like that, and also Hooi Yeen this year. For doing the many things hahahaha, to make it work, as expected, it went unnoticed to her. Nice.

Alright, I hope I can catch up on the things I want to blog, if it stay too long in my head, it loses the freshness, been procrastinating today, havent done much and its 9 already. =)

EDIT @ 12.48AM: As if the stars and moons couldnt be more aligned in my angle towards my blog, this really calls my a O-M-G, because, after re-signing in to add on a few thougths, I just realised, this is my 99th post! wow, completely unplanned, my 99th post blogging about 9999 hits and even more, on my sister blog, the 4W class blog which I'm managing, has 9 posts too! wow, 9, a nice number. I guess, this is a good ending, sort of, or the beginning. Whatever. But wow, I must say this even though it isnt true, coincidence? Hello!

Thanks to everyone, my blog passed 9999 mark!

There will be an official post on that, i assure you.

But now i want to share with the world something i'm sure most of you are not aware of, or maybe its just me being jakun.

anyway, so, seen our house lizard eggs before?

the brownish scaly creatures, that make a cool cicak sound and also leave nice smal brown/black presents behind for us? (fyi, i've seen a cicak getting diarrhea after eating the leftover yogurt in the bin lol)

so anyway, has anyone come across our housemate's eggs?

without further ado, here you can see em right before your eyes.

see? so small!! like chicken eggs but small!

close up! there were 4, but they were found in a small gap between the windows, so when removing, one was crushed, sadly, btw, it had reddish fluid and a small shape already.

actual size, next to my pinky. it's small, but kinda big for a lizard already. wonder how it manages to stay in their bodies and how they push it out. Especially the gap being really small. O how powerful is a mother's love. It is displayed in all lifeforms. =)

I have a feeling the mum has to shed her tail to give way for the eggs to come out. Quite big for em u know!

Can you see a glimpse of its insides? cool. waiting for it to hatch. It will hatch, hopefully. =)

As i mentioned, they resemble chicken eggs, but small, they still have the white shell which is quite hard.

busy with concert work. and the things inside my head. somehow, today i cant type capital letters in the beginning of sentences. don't have the automatic feeling to reach for it. also, fullmetal alchemist brotherhood has ended. after like one and a half years, and i followed all the episodes! i think its worth watching.

I saw this cartoon on the lower-sec computer club board...

I guess it stuck in my mind.

Seriously, I hope that one day this shall not befall on me.

I mean, I really don't mind to be fluent in the programming languages, but still, not at the expense of losing people relations.

One way or the other, people skills are still important.

Although, at times, it seems to be that machines do not disappoint you as humans (girls, i mean, but if your a girl, you should be relating to a guy), may at times.

Even though it isn't their fault, or the way they chose to be, it could be just my own over-expecting and hopeful mind.

Someday perhaps....
