Although, maybe its just me wasting my time and im sure there are many more of u with camps and all that jazzz, leaving a short holiday. But hey, take this chance to take a breather and fix yourself, before going back into that hi-speed vortex known as form 4 life...
Just came back from Cameron Highlands, nothing much there but it was fun, refreshing fresh air, and lots of veggies! Took lots of nature pics =) , also gave me lots of time to think.
So as the title denotes, here is what I did for teachers day this year.
again, being the school that is HEAD and SHOULDERS above the rest, we had a late teachers day, which is one day before school closes for mid-term hols.
So on the last day of the exam (2 days before school ended), instead of wasting myself on facebook and msn and my bloggie, I did something to appreciate the teachers..
I stayed up till 3 in the morning,
mind you, hannah did too, although i din know and that i thought i was the only one doing that.
I stayed up to do the kawasaki rose, or origami rose, 14 of them..
Each one takes a long time...
I started my quest at 6 but continuously chatted and Facebooked, till 10 pm. So I wasn't efficient at that time, time waster, so as a result i had to stay up till 3.
Each rose takes a painstaking process, and requires individual care to make a perfect one (or close to perfect), but I did not have the luxury of time, so I couldnt give each rose the midas touch, like i did for the roses i made for girls on valentines/friendship day. So many of them did not turn out perfect, but still quite pretty nonetheless.
Best part is that, after staying up till 3, i had to go for a party at Audrey's after school. Amazing how i still had energy to play and live through friday. On friday night, after watching fullmetal alchemist, it was 10pm, and i slept for 12 hours, i believe it is the longest for me, but for girls im sure they've gone further, eh? By the way, Audrey's party was a Blast!! And her house is sooo beautiful. To bad to those who could not come! =) Thanks for the party! And happy sweet 16th

I guess it was worth it, although i was exhausted after the exams and did not nap that afternoon, just to finish my roses, at least it paid of when i gave it to the teachers. I managed to give to all except mdm rozita. now that rose is crumpled too, ah well. At least to me, it was something i made myself, unlike the beautiful roses that u can buy and give, so simple, just need money. This requires skill and time and patience, although its beauty can never be compared to the actual rose, but them again, these origami roses last wayyy longer than the fresh live ones.
Due to my egoistic self, I still had the mind to take shots of my roses at 3 in the morning. hahaha, here you go. I was mass making them, to speed up the process, but also dangerous since if I did not finish, none would be made, as a result, it kept me going and still lively the next day although I only had 2 hours of slumber...

Full Bloom!!! At last =) Sticks and UHU glue will hold the roses together.
They look nice either before or after blossoming.. Happy that the teachers liked it..
Funny answer when i gave a roses was from madam mazni, our bio teacher...
"Where are the petals? The leaves?"
Hahahaha, didn't have time to cover the satay sticks too. Ah well, coz if i did, I wouldnt have any sleep at all.
