After spending so many (around 1 month) of lunches being away from people, not being able to walk down to the canteen together (or something) hard work has finally paid off!!! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, mitochondria and nucleolus', lol, here is the Official release of the Honour's Day Video!!
link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5od_AYnVpDs
It is better to watch on youtube since my layout is quite restricted and small.
Watch in HD 720p for best quality!
I missed so many lunches for this, and also helped, compared to MacWai and Jasveer I did nothing. They were the main ones, Chee Bin too, I just helped.
Seeing their standards are so high and its uber-pro, I'm so gonna stress next year. Help. lol.
But just try your best in everything you do.
Last two days before the honours day were totally stressed. And rush. when you rush you feel the adrenaline surge, and after that when you accomplish something it feels GREAT. Not that I'm an adrenaline-junkie or hyper-lover, (haha), it just feels really good when it comes on the big screen, regardless people like it or not. We and Macwai were literally jumping in front of the hall and when teachers (who I might add, some love to keep changing what we done, giving us hard work. Well, Macwai actually, since that the past 3 days he stayed up till one, that's why he calls it the GG Video. So this type of teachers are a real pain in the *** ahem, and they actually wanted us to edit the exporterd video ON-THE-FLY, like a powerpoint. Ahaha, Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects were what was used, and exporting the vid on i7 was 20 minutes, and on a core 2 was 2 hours. Worse of worse macwai had to GO BACK and do, with a slower processor and miss his bio test. which he later took, without thouroughly studying.) anyway, when teachers were in front of us we still jump for joy since it paid off.
What we did in 1 month was gone in 9 minutes. Like a concert where a chinese idiom says "prepare the stage for 10 years, use it a few hours" or something along the lines.
So no one really saw the hardship behind it, not for me, for macwai. Also the requests by my '' best friend'' (read: inverted comma's) we had to put up, it wasn't easy, dunno how I'm gonna do this next year.
So, great job guys, and everyone, love to hear your (or your parents who came to honours day) comments. Remember, we weren't paid, we weren't given enough powerful computers (one i7 and one core2duo that crashes all the time and 3 pentium 4s aren't enough ok?) and also we didn't graduate from video production universities. It's a student production. So you can compare with those videos make by companies that get paid 30k for a 5 minute video, but remember, we are students, whilst juggling homework, friends, sports (not me) and girl problems (aka relationship problems, lol, I added this myself) and puberty.
what do you think?
*unrelated, but too small a paragraph to be its own post, by my standards, I've been quite happy lately, haha, as in, I believe its one of the longest time I have continuously be happy, although with lotsa homework, which I'm gonna get to after this, T.T I still feel happy, yay, feels good, endorphins are great, makes me more energetic (hyper, by extreme cases) , optimistic and also happy. So smile everyone, and the world will seem a better place.
Thanks to the people who made me happy, you know who you are.
Tata.
