It was quite fun actually. Last year I remembered signing up and then passing my password to Juin-Le and also Yong Hui (i think) to help me do. I got 68 points for that. Also I got the certificate. Lol. At least it wasn't 0, unlike one or 2 people who sign up, forgot about it and then got a nice certificate with "Zero" points written on it. LOL.
Anyway it was kinda addictive, especially when it was me versus a whole group of Cempaka Students. They had alot because the school put back their exams and also had something like a camp out for WMD. Maybe our WESLEY METHODIST SCHOOL would wanna do that next year? Considering that GuoFeng and I aren't Student Council anymore. Will the new ones please suggest?
So I wanted to get Two thousand points which I did after 2 days. Then ES had to tell me that to get a GOLD cert it would take 4 thousand points. Since that I was already halfway there, I continued, resulting in homework pilling up. It was really addictive though. I had fun. I even reached level 2. Which was much harder. But still I played.
It was nice to go head to head with other countries. By the way, did you know that Malaysia was the number 1 in bagging trophies and gold medals? Nice. Really Boleh-Land (Boleh means 'can' in the Bahasa Melayu, the mother language of Malaysia) <- that explaination is for those of you from foreign countres, if there are any. Here's the proof. [link]We winning the most medal is also partly due to Cempaka's strong participating spirit and also my good friend and a real human calculator, Calvin. He got number 4 in the world. WORLD man. Pro sia. Congratz ! If you don't believe me you can go see here [link] and click 14- 18 years to see. He really brought on the name of the our school even though he wasn't encouraged by the school or paid, or given priviledge or whatever, hopefully he will be given recognition. It's the least the SCHOOL can do, and its free for that matter.
Anyway, I wanted to get 4000 points on the dot. But here's the funny thing, I thought I passed the 4000 mark and overshot, so i did it too 4200. But somehow I overshot (actually i saw wrongly) so I did 4210. It turns out that I saw the value under questions answered and not points for correct answers. So i did 4210 on the dot for questions but only 3952 for correct answers/points. So not only did I screw up my statistics / progress showing and also the ranl , I also missed the Gold certificate. O well, I only found out after it ended, so that was why it seemed to overshot. What to do? That's life.
I also did manage to vs with a wesleyan I dunno and also by coincidence, I versus-ed my senior Yu Yin for the last game!! LOL. She got a strikeout but she still beat me because she had higher scores. Then it went to level 2 and was much harder with ascending/descending numbers. So it was so fun. haha. While maths might not seem fun to you. You should give WMD a try next year. It's sorta fun and addictive.
